Greetings, Frenchtown Community!
It is both an honor and privilege to serve you as the Superintendent of Frenchtown Schools. Entering this fourth year of service, it is my hope that our partnership has strengthened resolve since navigating through challenges and novel situations. We are more informed, inspired, and stronger. This resilience is a testament to the collaboration between the Frenchtown School District, our community, and our parents, all dedicated to doing what is best for students. I thank you for your feedback, for pushing us to do better, and for your grace and resilience as we gear up for the future.
We are in the midst of our three-year strategic plan: focal points:
Upholding Educational Fidelity and Purpose
Integrating Technology Efficiently
Guaranteeing Safety and Security
Enhancing our Facilities
Fostering Wellness
Building Stronger Community Ties
We are diving into new accreditation standards, which will span three years. As a result, this accreditation journey will also see us creating a fresh strategic plan. As we work to best serve students, collaborating with the Frenchtown Community is essential. Our goal? To envision and define the attributes and qualities we seek in a Frenchtown High School graduate – a student who has been in the system from the beginning at Frenchtown Elementary.
I'm optimistic about the future of both Frenchtown and its School District. While we have hurdles ahead, with our community's involvement, dedication, and hard work, I am confident we'll not only overcome but flourish in our mission to "empower and educate students in a nurturing and safe environment, so they discover their strengths, cultivate a passion for learning, achieve their utmost potential, and are well-prepared for the diverse world ahead." (FTSD Mission)
On a personal front, my wife, Jolyn, and I have been married for 29 wonderful years. We are proud parents of two; Tucker, 28, who is pursuing his dreams in Fargo, North Dakota, and Ryder, 23, who is honing his business acumen at the University of Montana. I hail from the scenic Swan Valley, while Jolyn is a proud alumna of Billings West. We cherish the life and connections Frenchtown has provided us, enriched by the events and activities hosted by our schools.
