Occupational Therapist
The Frenchtown School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist beginning the 2024-2025 school year, to deliver school-based services Pre-K-12th grade, four to five days/week based on the current caseload. The current caseload is direct service 38 students, 22 consultative. The position requires Montana Licensure at the time of employment. Applicants must have the appropriate certification.
The occupational therapist will:
Evaluate students preK, K to 12 to determine their functional levels and to identify their special needs.
Plan and implement therapeutic activities to assist special education students in benefiting from their educational experience.
Attend ER meetings, IEP, and 504 meetings for school district students as well as other meetings to collaborate with staff
Maintain up-to-date student records including daily notes for Medicaid-eligible students, progress monitoring, and other documentation
Collaborate recommend activities/strategies to school staff to support RTI/Tiered approach
Attend SIT meetings
Collaborate with other school staff for school-based services to students in all grades.\
Qualifications/requirements:
Must have a current license in MT
Preferred 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged children
Must obtain all clearances and documentation to work for a school district in MT
Preferred background/understanding of IEP goal writing, reporting, timelines, and other educational processes
